Disneyland Paris enters a new era as World of Frozen opens at its reimagined second park, Disney Adventure World

On Sunday, March 29, 2026, the newly reimagined Disney Adventure World at Disneyland Paris opened its gates to the public for the first time, transporting guests into immersive worlds inspired by beloved Disney, Pixar Animation Studios and Marvel stories, where they can live unforgettable adventures.

At the heart of this transformation is Adventure Way, a majestic new main avenue featuring entertainment, the brand-new family attraction Raiponce Tangled Spin inspired by the Walt Disney Animation Studios film Tangled, a vast central lake called Adventure Bay, home to the breathtaking nighttime spectacular Disney Cascade of Lights, and 15 new dining locations to delight every palate. The highlight of this expansion, the impressive new World of Frozen, offers a fully immersive journey into the heart of the iconic films.

Shortly before 9:00 a.m., children from Make-A-Wish and their families were the very first to step onto the cobblestones of Adventure Way, cheered on by a guard of honour formed by Disney characters and Cast Members, including Natacha Rafalski, President of Disneyland Paris and Tasia Filippatos, President and Managing Director Disney Parks International. Accompanied by the Disney Marching Band, the children and their families walked along the shores of Adventure Bay, the park’s vast majestic lake, discovering the village of Arendelle in the new World of Frozen. For these children, being among the very first to explore World of Frozen made their dream come true as fans of the iconic Disney film.

From 9:00 a.m., many early visitors arrived to discover all the new experiences at Disney Adventure World. At the heart of World of Frozen, they enjoyed the attraction Frozen Ever After, experienced the show A Celebration in Arendelle where they saw Olaf brought to life through next-generation robotic technology and met iconic characters. Guests also tried one of the 15 new dining locations and spun aboard the sculpted gondolas of the attraction Raiponce Tangled Spin. Later that evening, guests discovered the second park’s very first daily nighttime spectacular: Disney Cascade of Lights. With breathtaking staging combining drones, flames, water screens, projected animation, fountains and pyrotechnic effects, the show brings guests closer to the action than ever before.

On the eve of its public opening, Disneyland Paris celebrated a new chapter in its history with its second park now renamed Disney Adventure World. This exceptional event was attended by Josh D’Amaro, Chief Executive Officer of The Walt Disney Company, media from around the world as well as high-profile guests including Emma Bunton, Holly Willoughby, Coleen and Wayne Rooney, Janette Manrara and many others. The ceremony was highlighted with a spectacular performance by Santa, joined by Lou, aged 11, whose wish, granted in collaboration with Make-A-Wish France, marked the 25,000th wish fulfilled for a child at Disneyland Paris since 1992.

Saturday 28th March 2026, marked another symbolic milestone for the destination, as Disneyland Paris inaugurated Disney Adventure World during an exceptional event presented by its partner Visa. The vibrant and spectacular ceremony combined official speeches with artistic performances celebrating beloved Disney stories, blending music and dance.

During the ceremony, Natacha Rafalski, President of Disneyland Paris, said: “With Disney Adventure World, we’re not only unveiling a reimagined second gate at Disneyland Paris; we’re opening the door to a new era. An era where our guests walk straight into the heart of the stories they love.”

“We continue to expand Disneyland Paris with ambition and purpose.”  Thomas Mazloum, Chairman of Disney Experiences, said. “The reimagining of our second gate reflects the very best of what Disney represents: boundless imagination that brings people together.”

“Few stories have resonated with fans around the world like Frozen,” said Josh D’Amaro, Chief Executive Officer, The Walt Disney Company. “From the screen to our parks, cruises, and beyond, its impact continues to grow, and with World of Frozen and Disney Adventure World, we’re giving guests at Disneyland Paris the opportunity to experience that story in entirely new ways.”

After an inaugural moment bringing together Josh D’Amaro, Natacha Rafalski and Thomas Mazloum, the ceremony continued with the arrival of Rapunzel, Flynn, and their friends. The group performed a moving musical piece paying tribute to the new attraction Raiponce Tangled Spin, located along Adventure Way. Then, as the scene gradually froze over, French-American singer Santa appeared, accompanied by her ice piano and she performed “Into the Unknown,” the iconic song from Frozen 2.

Emotion reached its peak when Lou, aged 11, from Make-A-Wish, joined Santa on stage to sing a few notes of “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?”. They were joined by Olaf, brought to life through cutting-edge robotic technologies developed by Walt Disney Imagineering teams. This touching moment marked the milestone of 25,000 wishes granted for ill children at Disneyland Paris since 1992. The evening concluded with a spectacular finale as Santa delivered a powerful rendition of “Let It Go,” alongside Anna, Elsa and Olaf, in a breathtaking staging enhanced by the magic of the ice piano and immersive pyrotechnic effects lighting up Arendelle Village and the new lake, Adventure Bay. A powerful and memorable moment that drew a warm response from the audience.

Ahead of the inauguration, selected guests were given an exclusive preview of Disney Adventure World’s upcoming novelties. Among them, Teyana Taylor, recently awarded Best Supporting Actress at the 2026 Golden Globes, Academy Award-winning actress Penélope Cruz, acclaimed French actor and director Louis Garrel, and football legend Andrés Iniesta also enjoyed a first look at the experience.

Key creative leaders behind Frozen 3 were also among the guests, bringing together the core team shaping the next chapter of the globally acclaimed franchise. The award-winning team includes Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Chief Creative Officer Jared Bush, Writer/Director of the Frozen films Jennifer Lee, her fellow Frozen 3 director, Trent Correy and Frozen returning songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez are all working on the next instalment.
