90 Children Celebrate Mickey’s 90th in Disneyland Paris

To celebrate Mickey’s 90th Anniversary, Disney Germany brought 90 children in need from different places around Germany (Hamburg, Berlin, Munich and Cologne) to Disneyland Paris. This great trip took place thanks to Disney’s cooperation with German charity, Ein Herz für Kinder.

On Friday 16 November, the 90 children arrived in Paris with their carers. For most of these children it was the first trip they had taken in their lives and they all walked through the Disneyland Park, dazzled in its festive décor, with awe and excitement.

Youtube and social influencer Lisa-Marie Schiffner accompanied the children throughout the trip, which made the trip even more exciting for the children. In the afternoon the children were allowed to watch the incredibly beautiful Christmas Parade in a specially closed off area just for them, where they saw the likes of Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Daisy glide down Main Street U.S.A on their fabulous festive floats.

On the Saturday evening, the children had a candlelit buffet dinner in one of the park’s restaurants which had been opened especially for them. Afterwards the children enjoyed the spectacular closing ceremony, Disney Illuminations on Sleeping Beauty’s Castle.

The biggest highlight followed on Sunday morning when the kids congratulated Mickey and Minnie Mouse on their 90th birthday and took an exclusive photo with them in front of the castle.

This weekend was a huge success for Disney Germany who knew how special this experience had been for the children. Their gratitude and radiant faces made the whole weekend worthwhile, and hopefully something to be repeated for Mickey’s 100th anniversary.
