Belonging Employee Resource Groups (BERGs)

Disney is proud to support a large network of Belonging Employee Resource Groups (BERGs), our voluntary, employee-led groups formed around shared identity, interests and pursuits. BERGs are key partners in cultivating an inclusive culture and a sense of belonging for Disney employees. They offer opportunities to network with peers, participate in outreach and mentoring programmes, acquire new skills, enhance leadership capabilities and drive cross-cultural business innovation. Our BERGs help facilitate inclusive conversations, creating space for employees to come together to share their experiences and show their support.

Volunteering

Volunteering is an important part of our company’s culture. Through our global Disney VoluntEARS programme, our employees give their time and talents to causes large and small, contributing more than 14 million hours of support worldwide since 1983. We encourage this by providing paid time for employees to volunteer in activities that align with our social purpose commitments, enabling our teams to make a real, meaningful difference within their communities.

Health and Compensation

Disney offers a competitive rewards package that includes pay, health and savings benefits, time-off programmes, family-building solutions, educational opportunities and more – all designed to make each employee feel valued and cared for. Together, these rewards make up a comprehensive package that helps employees live their best lives, grow personally and professionally and take advantage of the special extras that only Disney can provide, such as theme park admission, merchandise discounts and more.

Wellness and Family Resources

Disney works to reduce the stigma related to mental health challenges by breaking down barriers to resources and care. We offer a variety of easy-to-access and innovative programmes for employees, Cast Members and their families, including access to counsellors, mindfulness activities and various meditation, stress management and other self-care apps. We have enhanced our mental health solutions by expanding our Employee Assistance Programme to offer access to Unmind (an app to support mental health and wellbeing), facilitated the training for our human resources staff on mental health topics as well as offering employees across the business the chance to become a Mental Health First Aider. Our healthcare facilities are emblematic of best-in-class care, providing Disney employees, Cast Members and their family members with quality well-being programmes and health services in a caring, convenient and accessible manner. With the introduction of virtual health services and resources, Disney is making it even easier to get, stay and be well.

Workplace Safety

We strive to provide a safe, healthy and respectful work environment where employees have the support they need and the peace of mind they deserve. The safety of our employees is a top priority in the decisions we make. Teams staffed by professionals such as medical doctors and nurses, professional engineers, certified industrial hygienists, ergonomists, public health and certified food professionals, registered sanitarians, microbiologists and more help promote a safe work environment for our employees. Our internal programmes and policies are designed to promote a culture of safety, and our Standards of Business Conduct and Injury and Illness Prevention Plan provide the avenues to report safety concerns and incidents.

Learning and Talent Development

We invest in the ongoing growth of our people, offering a wide range of development opportunities that enable employees to be the best versions of themselves, both professionally and personally. These include leadership development, mentoring and connection programmes, coaching, online and instructor‑led learning and meaningful on‑the‑job experiences. At every stage of an employee’s career, we encourage curiosity, continuous learning and personal growth, empowering our people to thrive and reach their full potential.

We are committed to respecting the human rights of our employees, our guests and customers, our communities and our business partners.

Our Standards of Business Conduct apply to all employees and provide resources and tools to promote ethical conduct and compliance with the law. We regularly engage our leaders and employees on these Standards through training and other forms of communication, and employees and Cast Members can report ethical concerns internally.

Content, Products & Experiences

Across our content, products and experiences, we earn the trust of our fans by operating to high standards that support ethical and inclusive supply chains, healthy choices for families and responsible marketing.

Responsible Supply Chain

An important piece of our corporate responsibility efforts is operating a global supply chain that fosters safe, inclusive and respectful workplaces. Disney has set labour standards for the tens of thousands of facilities that make Disney-branded products, whether we procure products from them directly or license our intellectual property to independent businesses that use their own supply chains and distribution networks.

Responsible Advertising & Marketing

Our policy is to present advertising that is truthful, accurate, tasteful and age appropriate for the audience. We follow applicable laws and regulations, as well as meet industry and our own high corporate standards. We carefully consider the cognitive and emotional maturity of children and maintain internal guidelines that apply to marketing. Our guidelines and policies are designed to promote digital and physical safety for children, help parents and caregivers decide on the appropriate experiences for their families, and encourage children to make good choices.

Our Nutrition Guideline Policy guides our promotion of healthier foods and beverages to kids and families. These guidelines apply when our intellectual property, such as a beloved character, is associated with food and beverage products. These guidelines apply to Studio promotions and character licensing, as well as third-party advertising on our kidsʼ networks, the placement of food and beverage advertising on Disney+ and to kidsʼ meals in our parks. They are reviewed on an ongoing basis to help us reflect up-to-date dietary guidance and consider the evolving social and scientific understanding of children’s physical and digital lives.
