Disney UK collaborated with two major brands – Procter & Gamble and Sony – for the release of Christopher Robin, starring Ewan McGregor.
The film, which opened August 17th, has topped the UK box office for two weeks running. Christopher Robin tells the tale of a family man in London who received a surprise visit from his old friend, Pooh. Together they embark on a journey to find the rest of the animal friends from Hundred Acre Wood and rediscover Christopher Robin’s childhood joys.

To celebrate the release of Disney’s Christopher Robin, multinational consumer goods corporation Procter & Gamble is running a campaign exclusively in Sainsbury’s to promote its household, health and beauty brands. Brands included in the promotion are Ariel, Bold, Fairy Non Bio, Lenor, Fairy, Head & Shoulders, Pantene, Olay, Oral-B, Venus and Gillette.
The promotion invites shoppers in Sainsbury’s stores nationwide to buy one of the participating products, swipe their nectar card and enter for a chance to win a 4 star holiday. The promotion will end on 28th August 2018. The product promotions will be supported with out-of-home advertising and digital activity.
Sony is also running promotions exclusively in O2 stores up until 30th August, whereby customers who buy a selected Sony Xperia phone on Pay As You Go will be put in a draw to win a Christopher Robin themed holiday and runner up prizes of 5 goody bags. The competition will be supported by POS material in over 450 UK stores.
