To encourage families to get active whilst having fun together over the summer, Disney UK launched a 24 Hour Challenge – inspired by the characters in Disney•Pixar’s Incredibles 2. The 24 Hour Challenge motivates families or teams of up to ten people to clock up a total of 24 hours of activity, anytime and anywhere, between June and September. Getting involved is free and as families find fun and exciting ways to get active together, they can also support Unicef UK’s work.
To kick start the challenge, Disney UK teamed up with Olympic champion Sir Mo Farah and his family as they went head-to-head with Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl to complete a series of missions, all inspired by the Parr family from the Disney•Pixar films. The missions, including the Super Dance Off with Elastigirl, Dash’s Daring Dash, and the Incredi-Crawl, are available on the 24 Hour Challenge website to help motivate families or teams looking for ways to spur themselves on.
Any funds raised for Unicef UK will go towards helping to build a better world for children by providing them with clean water, life-saving food, vaccines, and a safe space to grow up happy and healthy.
Every minute counts, and families who log their time every week could be in with a chance of winning incredible prizes, including 10 weekly prize bundles worth £75 each. If that wasn’t enough, those who complete all 24 hours also have a chance of winning a holiday to Disneyland Paris to experience and take part in the Magic Run weekend in September.
The 24 Hour Challenge is part of Disney’s Healthy Living commitment to use the power of our characters and storytelling to inspire families to be more active. Registration, further information and Incredibles 2 missions can be found at www.24hourchallenge.com.
