17th to the 23rd of June 2019 marks Children’s Hospice Week, the only week in the year dedicated to raising awareness and funds for children’s hospices and palliative care services across the UK. These services are a lifeline for families when they’re facing the toughest of times, not just for practical and essential information, but helping families experience quality time together, creating moments and build important memories that many of us can take for granted.
Throughout the year Disney UK, collaborate with Together for Short Lives and three other strategic UK charity partners, Make-A-Wish® UK, Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity and MediCinema to deliver comfort and inspiration. Through collective partnership we are able to share best practice and look at how we work together to leverage Disney’s storytelling to help raise funds, inspire and create Moments that Matter for seriously-ill children and those closest to them when they need us the most.
Therefore as part Children’s Hospice Week we are proud to collectively share and celebrate some of those moments to help build awareness and understanding on the difference it can make.
Disney’s support for Children’s Hospice Week is part The Walt Disney Company UK & Ireland’s social purpose programme, where we work in partnership with others to help build emotional resilience. Together we bring the power of our brand, stories and characters to inspire and create Moments that Matter for children and those closest to them, when they need it the most.
