The Walt Disney Company is committed to protecting the planet and delivering a positive environmental legacy for future generations as we operate and grow our business.

In 2020, we refreshed our goals, outlining our focus areas and intentions for the next 10 years. As we move forward, we continue to review and communicate our targets to ensure they remain aligned to our business activity and evolve as we become better informed through research, measurement, feedback and evaluation.

Protecting Nature and the Climate

With Disney’s long legacy of protecting the environment, we have focused our investments on strengthening the integrity of vulnerable ecosystems with natural climate solutions.

We support scalable projects developed using peer-reviewed protocols grounded in science and resulting in verified emissions reductions. Since 2009, Disney has invested nearly $100 million in over 30 projects that are addressing climate change and providing co-benefits like conserving habitat for wildlife, creating jobs, protecting water resources, and reducing impacts from floods and soil erosion.

Disney Conservation is committed to saving wildlife and building a global community inspired to protect the magic of nature together. Since 1995, Disney Conservation has directed more than $120 million and the expertise of our dedicated teams to support organisations working with communities to save wildlife, inspire action and protect the planet.
